The company has implemented a full cycle of production, starting from the incoming quality control of the material, obtaining the necessary alloys, full machining and ending with the application of special coatings.
The vast majority of operations are performed on modern equipment produced by the world’s leading manufacturers. A lean production system has been introduced at Motordetal-Konotop. This allows us to manufacture products of the highest quality.
The production cycle of the enterprise starts in the areas of charging and melting. The charge section begins with mandatory incoming quality control of incoming materials and alloying elements. The melting of the material is carried out on the equipment produced by the German concern OTTO Junker.
The site is equipped with induction furnaces with a capacity of 2.5 to 10 tons, which allows the company to adjust the production process according to the customer requirements.
The thorough preparation of charge and continuous quality control of metal enables obtaining casting material that ensures the best properties of cylinder liners.
The workshop occupies 14,000 sq. m. and specializes in centrifugal casting of blanks. The workshop is equipped with multi-station rotary-hearth and single-station centrifugal casting machines. Such variability of foundry equipment allows the company to work with orders of almost any volume.
Automated systems of machine control ensure the stability of the technological process parameters, which eliminates the possibility of defects due to the human factor.
Machining production of Motordetal-Konotop consists of 12 sites with a total area of 26,000 sq. m. and is equipped with high-precision equipment produced by Gildemeister, Takisawa, Emco, Okuma , Gehring and Nagel,etc. The accuracy of machining of cylinder liner surface is maintained within 5 microns.
At the final stage of production, the company uses various types of liner machining. The inner surface of a liner is machined using the method of plateau honing. Depending on the specification, the liners are covered with a special phosphate coating, and can go through heat treatment or induction heating.
Motordetal-Konotop pays special attention to the quality of manufactured products. The Quality Control Center is responsible for compliance with the standards at the enterprise.
Control of the chemical composition, metallographic control and control of the mechanical properties of cast iron is carried out at all stages of production using equipment from research laboratories of the Quality Control Center.
Equipment of the Quality Control Center includes instruments and control and measuring systems of the world's leading manufacturers: Mitutoyo, Struers, Baird, Siemens, Tira, Perten, Mahr, Spectrolab, Olympus, Wolpert.
The quality system at the enterprise is certified according to the requirements of the international standard IATF 16949:2016.
